FEBRUARY 9:
First day you can request an application for an absentee
ballot as a registered voter.
You can obtain the application by mail or in person from
your local election authority.
FEBRUARY 21:
Last day to register to vote in the primary. If you are
NOT sure of your voter status, please go to
www.elections.il.gov and click “Registration and
Polling Place Information” to verify your voter registration.
If you are not registered, moved, or changed your name,
you can print the State of Illinois Voter Registration Card at
www.elections.il.gov and click “Illinois Voter
Registration Application.”
FEBRUARY 22-MARCH 13:
Grace period voter registration.
During the "grace period," you must register in person at
your local election authority, and then immediately vote during
that same visit. You
must bring two forms of identification with you, at least one of
which must show your current address.
FEBRUARY 27-MARCH 15:
Early voting at selected locations.
MARCH 15:
Last day to request an application for an absentee ballot
by mail.
MARCH 16-19:
In-person absentee voting (at the election board).
MARCH 20:
VOTE in the
primary!
